It was time for a little Vintage Pickin' day with the Bestie!
So Donna and I headed out to Sunset, Louisiana
The weather was nice but boy was it HOT!
We went to a few of our favorite places to hunt for treasures
There are several Barns and houses that sell Antiques/junky items like Sunset Antiques and The Railstop Flea Market just to name a couple.
look how they turned the rake into a wine glass rack! Genius!
Here are some of the treasures that I scored.
Some Coca Cola Giant Sippy containers for my pop...He has a HUGE collection of Coca Cola Products.
My lovely styrofoam head and vintage doll with eyes that close. I scored that little doll for $1!!
Stay tuned to see what I do with Styro-girl!!! It's gonna be cool!
The vintage record holder I scored for .50 cents and will look great as a photo holder
and the little lamp base was adorable, worked and just needs a shade.
These were my fav! We found a box of old electrical pieces, I wanted these. They had so much character and I could just see them being used as candle bases.
They will look great with just a pillar candle or even a hurrican globe with candle. Rustic and modern at the same time!
Scored these little trays for $2 each. I have big plans for these.
That will be another post!
And I walked by this little tray/stand several times and it screamed to me each time until I finally had to pick it up. $1.50. Not bad. Not sure yet what my plans are for it but at the very least it looks great with candles on it.
And these metal vintage roof tiles wanted to come home with me too!
And I picked up a few other littles....A bunch of old shoe polish brushes that will look great in a tin bucket on my shelf, some vintage labels and my SCORE of the day.
The mini camera in original box.....LOVE!
I collect old cameras and have never seen one so little.
I hope you enjoyed all of my treasures this week.
Get out there and search for some of your own...I can't wait to see what you find!
Happy Pickin'

I love shopping at junk shops. The best part about it is you never know what you're going to find. You sure got some goodies.
ReplyDeleteI am so a new follower!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day! Three fun posts so far, off to follow and come back later this evening!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great shop! I love to go junkie as well. Thanx for going THT!
ReplyDeleteI've been browsing on-line more than three hours nowadays, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made just right content material as you did, the internet will probably be much more useful than ever before.
